her aesthetic and philosophy [is] “urban opulence” – where grit meets grandeur. “It is that urban grit, but it also has a little bit of charm and beauty to it,”

Seen adorning the walls of collaborative spaces created for issa rae and outcast, all eyes were on complex flavors as they splashed onto the scene with a new bold perspective that highlit the beauty in our style and cultural appearance, and they haven’t turned away since.

Why We Love Her

Keisha Jordan started Complex Flavors because she kept walking into beautifully designed rooms that made her feel nothing – or worse, made her feel unseen. Living with lupus and navigating the world through a neurodivergent lens, she noticed what the design industry had been ignoring: that 15-20% of the global population is neurodivergent, and almost none of our spaces are designed with them in mind. So she built the thing that was missing. Sensory-rich, culturally rooted design that does more than just fill a wall. She doesn’t just design for a niche, she creates for the future of home.
